A Short History of Assisted Suicide in Montana
The 1972 Constitutional Convention’s Bill of Rights Committee considered and rejected a right to die. Later the Montana Supreme Court vacated the lower court’s claim of a constitutional right in v Baxter. No one has immunity from prosecution for assisting a suicide, not doctors, nurses, caregivers, guardians or strangers.
